Daniel Eden, P.Eng., LEED AP O+M, is a mission-driven product leader focused on accelerating the decarbonization of the built environment through software. With nearly a decade of experience spanning engineering consulting and product management, he brings a rare blend of technical depth and strategic clarity to climate technology.
As Senior Product Manager at OPEN Technologies, Daniel helps set overall product direction while leading execution across the company’s platform. He partners closely with clients, executives, and development teams to translate complex regulatory and market needs into scalable products that drive measurable impact. Known for turning vision into reality, he builds products — and teams — from the ground up with curiosity, candor, and a bias toward action.
Daniel holds a Master of Engineering Leadership in High Performance Buildings from the University of British Columbia. Prior to OPEN, his consulting work included building condition assessments, energy and water audits, green building certifications, and research on progressive building policy, including the BC Energy Step Code.
Outside of work, Daniel is most at home in the mountains or on the ocean — skiing, hiking, surfing, or sailing — and never far from a guitar.

OPEN Technologies grew out of the OPEN Green Building Society, a non-profit organization that has been developing open source software tools for the green building space since 2013. Today, OPEN Technologies and OPEN Green Building Society are affiliated organizations with a shared goal: to use data to shape a regenerative future for our cities.
