PathFinder
PathFinder leverages whole building energy modelling in an intuitive interface to educate designers, developers, planners, and others on the implications of building design on performance metrics such as energy use and greenhouse gas emissions for both operations and construction. PathFinder includes the exploration of several different archetypes of residential buildings.
There are two parts to PathFinder. The Operational Energy PathFinder allows users to test building design scenarios for their operational energy and emissions. The second component, the Embodied Carbon PathFinder, allows users to view the embodied carbon implications of different design and materials selections.
